Square 9 University Office Hours - Recalling Data with Field Learning

In this Square 9 University, we will learn how to add the field learning node to a workflow to “Learn” the values, recall those values when needed, and how to view and edit data stored in the field learning dataset.

Field Learning allows you to store data associated with a specific "key value" and pull it back into your workflow on demand. This is useful to set the value of a process field when another process field contains a specific value. After “teaching” the workflow the key:value pair, the process is completely automated. 

When sharing data with another line of business application, it is important the data matches exactly to what that application is expecting. When extracting information from real documents, sometimes this can be challenging. A company name might be concealed in a logo or abbreviated, making it difficult to extract or not a match to the application.  Field Learning can easily correct this. Setting up a key:value pair of Phone Number:Company Name will ensure the Company Name is populated with correct data. Since this value matches that in the application, the data passes smoothly.
